WestJet vliegt vanaf vandaag vanuit zes Canadese steden rechtstreeks naar London Gatwick. Er wordt gevlogen vanuit Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Edmonton, Winnipeg en St. John’s.
Alle vluchten, behalve die uit St. John worden met de ‘nieuwe’ B767-300ER’s uitgevoerd. WestJet voegde onlangs vier van deze (tweedehands) toestellen toe aan de vloot.

Wekelijks gaan er 28 WestJet vluchten van Canada naar Gatwick. Toronto zal de dikste route zijn met een dagelijkse vlucht het hele jaar door. Ook dagelijks, maar alleen in het zomerseizoen vliegt WestJet vanaf St Johns. Hier wordt een 737 ingezet. Vanuit Calgary wordt ook het hele jaar door gevlogen, vijf keer per week. Alle andere routes zijn alleen in het zomerseizoen. Vancouver wordt 6x per week gevlogen, Edmonton twee keer per week, en Winnipeg 1x per week.

Aan boord van de 767’s gaan 262 passagiers inclusief de 24 premium stoelen in 2-2-2 opstelling. In economy is de opstelling 2-3-2. Londen is de derde transatlantische bestemming voor WestJet. In 2014 lanceerde de maatschappij de route St. John’s – Dublin en in 2015 Halifax – Glasgow. Prijzen zijn vanaf circa €200 enkele reis.
