Heathrow Airport zegt de officiële aanvraag voor de derde landingsbaan in 2019 in te dienen. Pas daarna kan met de bouw begonnen worden.
“Heathrow begint met de voorbereiding van de aanvraag om het vliegveld uit te breiden”, zegt een woordvoerder van de luchthaven.
Omgeving
Heathrow zal de omgeving uitgebreid betrekken bij het maken van de plannen. Het zal niet alleen om informeren gaan, maar ook om consulteren. Ook andere stakeholders zoals milieupartijen worden bij de planning betrokken.
Eerste stap
Als eerste wordt de natuur in kaart gebracht, vanaf begin 2017. Bewoners worden er in een schrijven over geïnformeerd.
