Boeing heeft vandaag de 150e B777 aan Emirates geleverd in een speciale driedubbele levering.
Er gingen twee passagiers 777-300ER’s en een 777F naar de maatschappij uit Dubai. In totaal heeft Boeing nu 150e triple-sevens aan Emirates geleverd. Voor het eerst in 15 jaar zijn er drie B777’s tegelijk aan een klant afgeleverd.
Emirates is de grootste B777 klant van Boeing en de enige maatschappij die met alles zes de varianten van het toestel heeft gevlogen. De eerste bestelling deed Emirates in 1992, de eerste levering was in juni 1996. In 2011 werden er nog 50 van de -300ER besteld op de Dubai Airshow. De editie daarna (2013) ging Emirates er ruim overheen met een bestelling voor 150 B777X toestellen. Er moeten nog 46 B777-300ER’s worden geleverd.
